Refund policy

At Saffron Scrolls, we value the quality of our products and strive for customer satisfaction. Please review our return and refund policy carefully to understand how returns and refunds are handled.

1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns under the following conditions:

  1. Damaged or defective item on arrival.
  2. Wrong item delivered.
  3. Manufacturing defects.

We do not accept returns for:

  1. Minor color or texture variations due to photography or screen resolution differences.
  2. Products that show signs of use or wear.
  3. Items marked as Final Sale or Non-Returnable.

2. Return Request Timeframe

To ensure a fair process, return requests must be submitted within the following timeframes:

Damaged/Defective Item Within 48 hours of delivery
Wrong Product Delivered Within 72 hours of delivery


Returns will not be accepted for requests made after these timeframes.

3. Returns Not Accepted

Returns will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • Request initiated after the return window.
  • Product is used, damaged post-delivery, or not in original packaging.
  • Items under the "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" category.
  • Minor imperfections due to handmade craftsmanship.

4. Refund Guidelines

Refunds will be processed in the original payment method.

  1. Prepaid Orders: Refunded within 5-7 business days after return approval.
  2. Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders: For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds will be transferred directly to your bank account after the returned item is verified.

Goods not in stock or cannot be exchanged:
If the product is out of stock and cannot be replaced, we will issue a full refund.

Product damaged during transit:
If the product was damaged during delivery and you did not accept the package, we will handle the return and issue a refund or replacement based on the condition of the product.

Shipping address not serviceable:
If the shipping address is not serviceable by our courier partner, the order will be canceled, and a refund will be issued.

Refunds are not applicable under the following conditions:

  1. Marketplace Refunds: If you purchased the product through a marketplace or third-party platform, our refund policy does not apply.
  2. Incorrect Delivery Address: If the address provided was incorrect, no return or refund will be processed.
  3. Failed Delivery Attempts: After 2 failed delivery attempts, the product will be returned to us, and no refund will be issued.
  4. Package Refused by Customer: If the package is refused by the customer upon delivery, no refund will be processed.
  5. Return beyond the required return date: Returns will not be accepted if the product is returned after the allowable return period.

Shipping charges and COD fees are non-refundable.

5. Return Process

  1. Email us at customercare@saffronscrolls.com within the above timeframes with the following details:
  2. Order number
  3. Photos/videos of the product and packaging
  4. Description of the issue
  5. Once the return is approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup via our logistics partners (wherever serviceable).
  6. Products must be returned in original condition, with all original packaging (tags, accessories, freebies).
  7. Upon receiving the returned product, we will inspect it and process your refund or replacement.

6. Refund Process

For Domestic Orders

The entire process — including the return shipment, quality check, and approval — may take up to 20 days from the date you initiate the return request.
After your return is approved, the refund will typically be processed within 7 working days to your original payment method.

Please note that refunds will be for the product amount only, excluding the original shipping fees, and any customs duties or taxes incurred. These fees are non-refundable.

For International Orders

If you're making a return from outside India, please take note of the following guidelines:

Note: When you return a product from abroad, you will be considered the exporter of the goods. The risk of loss will transfer to us only once the product reaches our registered return address in India. Ownership of the product will transfer to us upon receipt.

Once you initiate a return (within 4 days of delivery), please note the following timeline:

  • Return shipping back to India may take 10–15 days, depending on courier services and customs procedures.
  • After we receive the returned product, inspection and approval will take 2–3 working days.
  • Once approved, the refund will be processed within 7 working days via the original payment method.

In total, the entire international return and refund process may take up to 30 days from the date you initiate the return.

Currency & Conversion Rates:

The refund will be processed in Indian Rupees (INR), based on the conversion rate set by your Credit/Debit card provider or bank. The amount refunded may vary due to currency fluctuations between the time of purchase and the refund. Additionally, if you used an international credit card, your card issuer may apply a transaction fee for processing the refund, which is determined by your bank


7. Exchange 

We currently do not offer any exchange policy. Please make sure you select the correct product while purchasing.

Please note: We do not refund any customs duties or taxes that were paid upon receiving the product. The refund will only cover the cost of the product as per the INR amount shown on our website.
